In Defense of Living in Seattle

People who know me well don’t understand my love of Seattle!  My love of the sun, inability to live anywhere but on the water or in constant sunshine and my SAD combine to make Seattle one of the least likely places for me to end up.  However, this article gives a very nice summary of many of the things I love about Seattle.  In a nutshell, Seattle is a big city in small city clothes with all of the things I love about the larger metropolitan areas.

This was an interesting article to me because I have lived or worked in 3 of the cities listed, Redmond, Bellevue and Irvine.  All of them are outstanding places to work with a high quality of life.  Of course, if I was making $500K annually, I would be a bit happier!

Back in the Country!

After a close call with the Mexican jail system, as a suspected smuggler of Yellowtail fish filets, I have returned none the worse for the wear with just plenty of suntan to remind me.  I will be posting pictures and commentary starting tomorrow.  Looking forward to being back to work!

BC Relaxing in Mexico

My focus over the next week will switch from Redmond and the Eastside of Seattle to the Baja pennisula.  I am taking a much needed break from the wonderful of Greythorn, running for Redmond City Council (which is going great!) and various and sundry other issues.  My girls and I are in Loreto, Mexico at the Inn at Loreto Bay (www.innatloretobay.com) to enjoy some fun in the sun, watch some whales and hopefully lose myself in the moment.
