FofBC - Seafair Volunteers
- The Friends of Brian Conlin decided that it would be a great idea and good fun to man a water table for the Seafair Marathon. We were right! It was an outstanding and inspiring event for everyone involved and look forward to next year.
Greythorn Paintball
- At the end of my first quarter at Greythorn, we had a company event that involved paintball. A perfect opportunity for us to come together as a team and blast the hell out of each other! Good times...
McSky Loreto '07
- We had an opportunity to take a vacation to Loreto in the Baja pennisula this year and it was outstanding! I look forward to next year, just with better Spanish.

In Defense of Living in Seattle
People who know me well don’t understand my love of Seattle! My love of the sun, inability to live anywhere but on the water or in constant sunshine and my SAD combine to make Seattle one of the least likely places for me to end up. However, this article gives a very nice summary of many of the things I love about Seattle. In a nutshell, Seattle is a big city in small city clothes with all of the things I love about the larger metropolitan areas.
The most beautiful place in the country to live!

Branding by Brian
Branding has been around for a while, but what everyone is talking about lately is geared toward personal branding! Either for your own gain or as an extension of the company brand. Good stuff when done properly. Read an interesting article on how engineers and other very technical professionals who didn't see the benefit to networking, marketing and sales are the group having the hardest time finding work in this market. Whereas others in the profession who did all of those things on a personal level are getting the interviews and the first intel on the available jobs.
Just like most things in business, there can be too much of a good thing and not everything that looks good is good!
I really enjoy personal branding and working with others on how to build and manage their companies and their own brand.
